About Sterling:
Sterling Fabrication Technology is a CNC fabrication machine tool sales company that exclusively represents several global leading manufacturers of CNC equipment for metal processing and fabrication.
We are seeking an Applications Engineer to play a key role in supporting CNC machine tool sales and ensuring customer success. This role involves conducting time studies and demonstrations, assisting with machine startups, and providing hands-on training to equip customers with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively operate their machines on-site after installation.
These include: lasers, punching machines, tube lasers, press brakes, and other misc fabrication machine tools.

About the job:
- Makes process time studies to show machine performance
- Conduct machine demonstrations at our showroom to potential customers
- Provides hands-on training to customers
- Assist with offline programming and machine operation on-site with customers
- Assist customer with facility requirement prior to machine arrival
- Be on-site during machine arrival to ensure equipment condition and proper placement
- Visit existing customers to ensure customer satisfaction after installation

Job requirements
Job Requirements:
- Computer literacy and CAD/CAM background. Preferably, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, Pro-E. Offline programming software
- Professional demeanor and communication skills with customers - this is an almost 100% customer facing role.
- Background knowledge of basic mechanics, engineering, manufacturing, and/or fabrication is beneficial
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Must live within Dallas or Houston
